Honoring Cultural Crafts: A Tatreez & Henna Event (Fundraiser for Palestine)

  • 18th Street Casa de Cultura 2057 W. 18th Street Chicago, IL, 60608 USA (map)

EVENT INFORMATION:

Date: Saturday March 16th

Set up: 1 pm - 2 pm

Time: 2pm - 5pm

Clean up: 5 pm - 6 pm

Location: Pilsen - 18th St Casa De Cultura, 2057 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608

Our Tatreez & Henna will be a three hour event that includes opportunities to receive henna, lessons in basic tatreez work, and a tatreez circle with the community. We would also like to include a small calligraphy workshop if we can find artists who are interested in leading this.

We will be donating to a cause benefitting Palestinian women and children. A small portion of the tickets will be given to 18th Street Casa de Cultura for their continuous support of Palestinian community events and for being an incredible community center for Pilsen. We will be reimbursing artists for their supplies brought to the event.
