Our space is over 5,000 SF, located in the Heart of Chicago, Pilsen neighborhood. Located on the blocks that have historically been the home of Danza Azteca and Son Jarocho in Chicago for the past 30 years, our space aims to serve as a physical incubator for the historical memory of the many cultural arts community spaces that once made up Pilsen’s identity such as: Casa Aztlan, Calles y Sueños, Décima Musa, Mestizarte, to name a few. The space is divided into different sections for different uses:

La Galería: The biggest area, La Galería is an open space of 55’ x 24’ utilized for art exhibitions, community events, and large convenings or celebrations.

La Tiendita: Located upon entry, La Tiendita is a physical store selling multilingual books, traditional clothing, handmade jewelry, and other cultural items. You can visit our online store here.

La Biblioteca: Located in the back of the building, La Biblioteca holds our Cultural Literature Reserve and Collection of over 2,000 titles of cultural and political texts for reference and educational use. This 24’ x 22’ space is utilized for classes and more intimate events and gatherings.

The space also has a kitchenette, two handicap accessible bathrooms, filtered water fountain and utility sink.

Our space is available to utilize for the following types of activities:

  • Organizational retreats, meetings, and trainings

  • Public community events in alignment with our organizational focus

  • Art exhibitions

  • Educational events and field trips
